How Can We Help?

How Fast Are Gini Transactions?

You are here:
< Back

Gini transactions are nearly instantaneous because each stakeholder has their own private blockchain within the Gini BlockGrid, which is updated asynchronously with deterministic confirmations. This is in contrast to the less reliable probabilistic confirmations in Bitcoin and virtually all other cryptocurrencies today. This architecture dramatically increases the speed, reliability, and security of Gini transactions compared to other cryptocurrencies.

More specifically, this architecture (a hybrid of blockchain + DAG) enables Gini to achieve high speed and throughput—more than 7,000 transaction per second in our testing so far. The animation below helps to visualize Gini's throughput (transactions per second) compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum, which can process approximately seven and 20 transactions per second, respectively. (Each dot in the colored network pipes represents a new transaction.)
